SCHOOL DELAYS AND CLOSING INFORMATION
Decisions to delay are made at the earliest possible time. A second decision, if necessary, to stay open or to close will be made, if possible, by 7:30 am. If there is a Level 2 Emergency, we must go to a 2-hour delay. In a Level 3 emergency we must close. If the district is on a one (1) or two (2) hour delay, buses will run one or two hours behind schedule. For example: if your child is normally picked up at 6:30 am and there is a two hour delay, your child will be picked up at 8:30 am. When school is cancelled due to weather, the Athletic Director (AD) will determine the status of scheduled events by approximately 12:00 pm. In most cases, all events will be cancelled. IF... it is determined by the AD's of both schools that conditions have improved and there will be no unnecessary safety risks, the event will be held as scheduled. Should this exception occur, the AD will inform the Superintendent, Building Principal, Coaches and Media within the hour. Coaches should contact their teams of any changes.
