Welcome to Madison-Plains Intermediate School!
Here you will find a staff dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of each individual child. Daily students engage in meaningful math, reading, writing, science and social studies activities designed to build high level thinking skills. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in art, music, physical education and technology classes as well as visits to the library. Students in grades 4-6 have the option to join clubs during recess as well! Some opportunities are art club, basketball club, and glee club. Several 6th grade students are also members of beginning band. We also have students who represent MPIS at the Madison County Spelling and Math Bees. We also support our future engineers through the Eagle Robotics program which participates in the First Lego League competitions.
We believe that every child has the right to receive their education in a safe and nurturing environment. The staff at MPIS has implemented the PAX program which is designed to help teach students self-regulation and self-management skills. This is supported through a partnership with Madison County and our building’s PAX Partners. Through the goals of PAX, we are developing a learning community that is M-P STRONG!
At Madison-Plains, we commit to:
Learning is a journey that takes a team effort to ensure the best possible outcome for every child and his or her future. A partnership must be developed between students, staff, parents, and community members to help make this happen. We invite all mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and other community members to become a part of our team.
Feel free to contact me at any time to with any questions, comments or feedback. Together, we are M-P STRONG!
