1. STUDENT FORMS – The forms that were issued the first day of school are due to your homeroom teacher by Sept. 7, 2010. Free and reduced lunch forms should be turned in as soon as possible.
2. SCHOOL PICTURES – will be taken Sept. 8 starting at 8:00 a.m.
3. SOPHOMORE CLASS RINGS – Jostens will be here on Sept. 8 during lunch to place class ring orders. Remember to bring your order form and a $60.00 deposit. All sophomore students who place a class ring order on this day will receive a free class of 2013 hoodie.
4. SENIOR GRADUATION ORDERS – Jostens will return to take Senior orders and deposits for caps & gowns and graduation packages on Thurs, Sept. 9th during lunch. Remember to bring your order form and deposit. Should you wish to order a class ring, no additional deposit is required, just complete the class ring order form and turn it in with your graduation order.
5. STAFF MEMBERS – Conseco Health representatives will be in the Teacher’s Lounge on Sept. 8 and 9th to talk to staff members. They will be here beginning at 6:45 a.m.
6. SCIENCE CLUB MEMBERS – please submit your ideas for t-shirt designs to Miss Ellenberger by Wednesday morning.
7. CLASS MEETINGS- Mr. Clark and Mrs. Shoaf will be having class meetings to make sure all students are on the same page as far as planning for college, handling community service, etc. The following dates and times are scheduled and will take place in the Auditorium;
Sept. 9 – Seniors – 1st period, Juniors – 2nd period, Sophomores – 3rd period
Sept. 10 – Freshmen – 2nd period
8. EAGLE INSIGHTS- any student interested in the group counseling program with Mrs. Shoaf and Mr. Crutchfield, called Eagle Insights, need to pick up an application in the Guidance Office.
9. “WE ARE MP”- The Economics class will be selling 12th man football shirts the lunch periods. The shirts are black with a great looking white & gold print on front and an inspirational saying on the back. They are $15.00. See any Economics class member or Mr. Stockham.
10. URBANA DUAL ENROLLMENT – There will be an informational meeting for interested students and their parents on Thursday, Sept. 9th, at 7:00 p.m. in room 116. There will be a field trip on Friday, Oct. 8th, for those students who are enrolled in the program.
11. SPANISH CLUB- will meet every Tuesday from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m.
12. HOMECOMING DANCE- will be held on Sat., Oct. 2nd, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the High School Gym. The title for this year is Shanghai Moon with the theme focusing on the Far East. Tickets will be $15.00 each and will go on sale Monday Sept. 20th. Remember the dance is open to ALL MP High School students.



13. HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK – Sept. 27 thru Oct. 1-
Monday: Hat Day
Tuesday: Favorite Team Day
Wednesday: Pajama Day
Thursday: Mismatch Day
Friday: Spirit Day
14. EAGLE PERIOD- The following groups will be meeting during the Eagle Period this week; Student Council, FFA Officers, Key Club, Science Club, FCCLA Officers, Junior Class, Senior Class Officers, Softball, Baseball.

ACCESS TO PROGRESS BOOK
Access to Progress Book accounts have been blocked if there are any outstanding school fees from past school years.  This years school fees are due by Dec. 31,2010. If you have any questions about these fees please call 740-852-0364 ext. 314. Once fees are paid access will be unblocked. Thank you.
