Hello Students (6th-11th grade), Parents, and Guardians,

 

If you were unable to attend our two virtual or in-person Required CCP Informational meetings but still want to participate in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program for the 2024-2025 school year then please read below. 

 

Southern State Community College has graciously volunteered to add one more Virtual Required CCP Informational meeting on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 6:00PM. 

 

You MUST register in order to participate in the virtual meeting. The link to register is listed below. You must follow these instructions when registering to make sure you get credit for attending. 

2. It will ask for your First Name: (This is the most important part. You will put the student and the parent or guardian's name in this field who will be watching the meeting. If the student has siblings who are interested in CCP and will also be watching then you will list their first name here also. This is the only way to ensure you will get credit for attending the meeting.) 

3. It will ask for your Last Name: (Make sure you list the STUDENTS last name. If there are siblings and they have different last names, please make sure you list both of their last names.)

If your student is in grades 6th-11th and is interested in taking College Credit Plus (CCP) courses during the 2024-2025 school year but was unable to attend our in-person or virtual required CCP Informational Meetings then you need to contact your students school counselor right away to see what other options you have for them to participate in CCP program next school year before it's too late. The required documents to participate are due by April 1, 2024.

Were you unable to attend our Scheduling Meeting for the Class of 2028 on Thursday, February 8, 2024? 

Here is the presentation from that meeting. The meeting discussed how to schedule your freshman classes, high school requirements for graduation and what your student can expect for the next four years.

Were you unable to attend our in-person Required CCP informational meeting on January 11th?  We now have 2 more meetings available but these will be VIRTUAL meetings. (You only have to participate in 1 required informational meeting a year in order to take CCP courses).

Is your student interested in taking College Credit Plus (CCP) courses next year?Madison-Plains High School invites you and your student to join us for the REQUIRED CCP informational meeting in order for your student to participate in CCP courses during the 2024-2025 school year. Students can take CCP courses in grades 7-12. This meeting will be in person. We will have a representative from our partnering school, Southern State Community College, presenting information and answering questions about the CCP program. 

This meeting is required for ALL students interested in the CCP program and for students who are currently enrolled in the CCP program that wish to continue next year. If you plan to take CCP courses on a college campus, online, at our high school, or through a different college, you MUST attend the informational meeting and submit the required forms EVERY year.

If you participated in the Mandatory Virtual Information Meetings, please send your certificate of attendance to the guidance office ASAP then stop in to pick up your CCP packet of paperwork that needs to be turned in by April 1, 2023 in order to participate in CCP for the 2023-2024 school year.

If you did not participate in the Mandatory Virtual Information Meeting then you need to contact the high school counselor ASAP if your student is wanting to take CCP classes during the 2023-2024 school year.
