Madison Plains FFA Officer Books

For the last year, the Madison Plains FFA secretary, treasurer, and reporter have been collecting records and photos for their officer books. The secretary’s book holds records of all chapter activities such as agendas, member involvement, thank you cards and correspondence. The treasurer’s book holds all financial records such as our chapter bank account, receipts, withdraw & deposit forms, etc. The reporter’s book keeps a record of chapter activities and events through photos, captions, and news articles.
January 27th was the Sub-District Evaluation at Tecumseh High School. All books advanced to Districts but still needed a lot of corrections before the next round. February 3rd was the District Evaluation, all of the officers received a gold rating on their books. All officer books are graded by other FFA Advisors as well as representatives from the Ohio Department of Education. These three books also help our chapter apply for the National Chapter award which is a high honor in the National FFA Organization. On May 3rd, the officers will be given a gold pin and recognized for their hard work at the Ohio FFA State Convention.

These books teach students how to keep accurate records, organizational skills as well as networking skills. All of these are 21st-century skills that will prepare students for college, trade school or the workforce.
