Youth Leadership Summit
Twenty-three grade 8-11 students from Madison-Plains recently attended the Wright State University for its first-ever Youth Leadership Summit. The all-day event educated students about the importance of having youth-lead programs in shcools, as well as in their communiites. Various speakers engaged in not only inspirational speaking, but delivered messages in unique ways that included poetry and music. Topics, such as drug abuse (both prescription and opiates), bullying, social media, and other various issues were discussed that affect our youth today. The students were extremely moved by the days' events and were excited and eager to start a movement here at Madison-Plains.
