Award-winning breakfast
Madison-Plains Intermediate School was recognized as a Bronze Star in the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 Breakfast Challenge for an average daily participation rate of 50-59 percent.
In all, 445 Ohio Schools met the criteria for the Fall 2016 and/or Spring 2017, Ohio School Breakfast Challenge. All schools will be recognized and receive a “Breakfast All-Star Banner” at various Ohio School Administrator and School Nutrition Professional Conferences in June 2017.
The benefits of breakfast are well known; studies show that students that eat breakfast at school have better concentration, better attendance and are more likely to have improved nutrition. Madison-Plains encourages all students to participate in the School Breakfast Program so they start the day healthy and ready to learn.
