Powerlifting Meet a Success
Madison-Plains High School set history on Saturday December 8th, 2018, with hosting the first powerlifting meet ever, not only in the school, but the first powerlifting meet ever hosted in Madison County.  As the Madison-Plains Tradition Powerlifting Team set sites on the first ever Iron Eagle Classic, 54 students came to compete. Eight other teams attended the competition: Madison Plains, Bradford, Kenton Ridge, Allen East, Tri. Village, Oregon Clay, Mt. Gilead, and Roosevelt with a total of 190 lifters. The Eagles continue to be a huge impact in the power lifting world, continuing to not only be the strongest guys and girls team in the county, but one of the top in the State of Ohio.  Madison-Plains Tradition Powerlifting  is led by a group of seniors such as returning state placers Rachel Guiette, Bradan Mast, Kloee Whitaker, Nate Hill, Byron Hamilton and Isaac Puckett along with a host of others. The Madison-Plains Tradition Powerlifting Ladies and Guys both took home the first place trophy at the Iron Eagle Classic.  The Eagles will travel to Springfield Northeastern to compete in the Eric Wheeler Powerlifting Meet this coming Saturday December 15th.  Go Eagles!!!  Click on the link to see pictures from the Meet!
