**UPDATE**
Dear Madison-Plains Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
As soon as an announcement was made at Madison-Plains Junior and Senior High School about the bullet being found in the toilet, a student immediately came to the office and acknowledged it had been his and that he had found it in his coat pocket this morning after accidentally leaving it there from when he had been out shooting his .22 in the late afternoon or evening. He was trying to flush the bullet to get rid of it so there were no problems.
We will take appropriate steps, but please know we are grateful that the young man had the courage to come forward. He acknowledged and took responsibility for his actions.
Please know students and staff at Madison-Plains Locals Schools are safe.
