Clarification
Good afternoon. As you know, student and staff safety is our first priority. As such, I want to share with you some information to clear-up any misconceptions or rumors that may circulate this afternoon and evening. This afternoon we were notified that a student thought that another student may have had a weapon on a bus this morning. The student who reported this did not see a weapon of any kind, but rather heard a clicking noise and thought it was from a weapon. Our administration at the junior high and high school immediately conducted a search and nothing was found. Surveillance video from the bus was watched, and the bus was searched, as well. Again, nothing suspicious or worrisome was seen or found. A third student who sat in close proximity to the student who was alleged to have had the weapon did not see anything, either, only a pair of headphones that the student was adjusting.

Please know that everyone is safe. Again, student and staff safety is our number one priority. We were in contact with law enforcement about this matter, as well, and I wanted to make sure that there are no misconceptions or misinformation circulating.

Thank you.

Have a good evening.

Sincerely,

Chad Eisler, Superintendent
