Students will be given tasks to complete for remote learning days. Attendance is based on assignment completion. Students will be marked present for remote learning days if they have made a good-faith effort to complete the tasks given to them. In grades K-6, students will be assigned four tasks for each remote learning day from the core subject areas. Students will be assigned one task per week from their specials courses (i.e., Art, Music, PE).
In grades 7-12, students will be assigned exactly one task/activity per course per day. This means that all students will be given five tasks per week for each course they are taking. In all situations, teachers will provide clear expectations for students and look for evidence of participation or a lack of participation when making decisions about attendance. Teachers will post the expectations for the upcoming week according to the schedule below so that all students and families have sufficient time to plan for remote learning.
