Dear Madison-Plains Local School District Parents and Guardians,
Good afternoon! As you are aware from my call last night, we continue to deal with pandemic-related issues. As I noted in the communication last evening, our afternoon route will be affected today, Wednesday, September 08, 2021, and it will be affected for the rest of this week and next week, as well.
For this afternoon, students who live on Old Xenia Road, Correll-Maxey Road, Bonner Road, Neil Road, Neil East Road, US Route 42, Roberts Mill Road, Old Springfield Road, and Davis Road will be late getting home.
We are no longer able to combine routes due to passenger capacity issues. As such, the students who live on these roads will stay after school in a supervised environment until busses return to pick them up and take them home. The busses should be returning to campus shortly after 4:00 p.m., at which time, these students will board the busses and be driven home. Parents and guardians who are able to come to the school after school is over may pick their child up.
Additionally, these students will be late getting picked-up in the mornings and dropped-off in the afternoons the rest of this week and likely next week. For those parents and guardians who are able to bring their child or children to school, we encourage you to do that and thank you for it, as well. For those who are not able to do this, we will send busses to get them.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this will cause.
Provided our situation remains as is, this will be how we move forward this week and likely into next week, both in the mornings and afternoons. We will do our best to stay in communication regarding any changes, and we hope things do not get worse.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this will cause. We are doing our best to keep our school open.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Have a good afternoon!
Chad Eisler, Superintendent
Madison-Plains Local School District
