Free Breakfast and Lunch
Dear MPLSD Parents and Guardians,
Greetings!  The purpose of this communication is to share with you some important information from our Food Service Department.

For those families who choose to participate, student breakfasts and lunches can be picked-up this week beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, December 2nd; and also on Thursday, December 3rd; and Friday, December 4th, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. behind the high school for all children ages 1-18.  The bags will consist of five (5) breakfasts and five (5) lunches for each child.

Then, beginning next week, on Wednesday, December 9th, and every Wednesday thereafter while we are in remote learning mode, except those days when we do not have school, we will be delivering these meals by busses to your child’s regular bus stop. The busses will depart the high school on those Wednesdays at 9 a.m.  We will need someone to be at your child’s bus stop to receive the meals.

Again, this is for all children ages 1-18, regardless of income.  You will not be taking meals from anyone in need.  There is plenty to go around and, in fact, this helps schools tremendously, and the kids enjoy getting familiar school items.  There is a video posted on the foodservice tab of our webpage that explains everything.  We encourage you to take a minute to watch the video.  The link is posted below.

Please know we will not be delivering meals on December 23rd, December 30th, or January 6th due to winter break.

Additionally, below is a link to a Google Form.  We kindly ask that if you are interested in receiving these free breakfasts and lunches for your child or children that you please fill-out and complete the Google Form with your child’s/children’s names so we may order the appropriate amount of food.  Thank you!  The link to the form is below.

If your child/children are open-enrolled and do not ride a bus, you will need to go to the nearest bus stop for pick-up or come to the school to receive the food.

Thank you!

Have a good evening!

Go Eagles!
