Dear Madison-Plains Local School District Parents and Guardians,
Good afternoon! The purpose of this communication is to provide you with information about three items – pick-up and drop-off of items at the school, graduation rain dates, and food distribution.
First, as a quick reminder and as I mentioned last week in a call, pick-up of personal items and drop-off of school items is today, Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. For the K-6 side of campus, please follow the signs and use the side gym doors. Students and parents will remain in their cars, and staff will be there to assist you.
On the 7-12 side of campus, students and parents should pull-up to the front of the high school by the main office. Students and parents will be able to stay in their cars, unless there are items from the locker-room that are needed. If students need items from the locker room, students must wear a face-covering to come into the building. Those students will also have their temperatures taken and will only be permitted to come in one-at-a-time. Thank you for your assistance with this.
With regard to this Friday’s graduation, we want to see how the forecast unfolds into the week a little more. We do have rain-dates on the schedule, and those rain-dates are this Saturday, May 23 and Friday, May 29, 2020, at the exact same times. We will let you know on Thursday afternoon, before the close of business, if we are going to utilize one of the rain dates.
Finally, our last food distribution will be tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20, 2020. We will have staff at our seven food distribution locations, and pick-up will again be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We encourage any student who is in need, or their parents or guardians, to pick-up food for them. Also, paper-based assignments can also be turned-in at these locations.
