Food distribution
Dear Madison-Plains Parents and Guardians,

Greetings!  I hope this finds you healthy and well.

The purpose of this communication is to let you know about plans for food distribution to our students who are in need and also to share some information about paper-based assignments.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, 2020, staff from the Madison-Plains Local School District will be at seven (7) locations with food for students.  The staff members will be at these locations from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  We have tried to find one spot in each of our population centers so that it is convenient for students throughout our district to pick-up the food.  We also know that transportation might be a challenge for some, so we are hoping that the locations we have picked will assist in case students need to walk to them.

The seven locations we will be at are as follows:

Mt. Sterling –
Community Center
164 E. Main St.
Mt. Sterling, OH 43143

Newport –
Methodist Church
80 Center St., SE
London, OH 43140

Lilly Chapel –
Trinity United Methodist Church
8530 Lilly Chapel-Georgesville Rd.
London, OH 43140

Midway –
Presbyterian Church
13681 Main St.
Sedalia, OH 43151

South Solon –
Fire Department
7105 E. Main St.
South Solon, OH 43153

Big Plain –
Fairfield Township Hall
9100 Big Plain-Circleville Rd.
London, OH 43140

London –
Madison County Vineyard Church
106 Olive St.
London, OH 43140

Again, we will have staff members at these locations from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

I would like to thank all of these places for allowing us to utilize their parking lots for this food distribution process.  I also want to thank Kroger and KFC in London for their donations of bags for the food.  I also want to thank our staff members who have assisted with this process.  They have big hearts, and they care about our Madison-Plains Community!

Finally, for those students, or families, that have notified their teachers that they do not have on-line access at home, we are working to get paper-based assignments to them.

We are pleased to be able to assist our community in these ways!

I will continue to be in touch with other information and updates.

Stay healthy!

Go Eagles!

Sincerely,

Chad Eisler, Superintendent
Madison-Plains Local School District
