Welcome!
We are excited to announce the following new additions that were approved at last night's board meeting:

Two assistant principals were hired, one at the K-6 building and the other at the 7-12 building. Joining the district are Mr. Jake LeGros, who will serve as the assistant principal at the elementary and intermediate schools, and Mr. Brock Wysong, who will serve at the junior high and high school.

LeGros comes to Madison-Plains from Olentangy Local Schools where he has been working as a 5th-grade teacher since 2010. Prior to that he had been at New Albany-Plain Local Schools, where he worked as an intervention specialist with students in elementary grades. He has a master’s degree from Concordia University in Chicago in school leadership and a master’s degree in educational technology from National University in San Diego. LeGros’s undergraduate degree is from The Ohio State University, where he majored in special education. He also did coursework at Capital University where he earned certification as a general education teacher. LeGros replaces Max Lallathin who left the district to become a principal in Canal Winchester Local Schools.

Wysong has been a classroom teacher at Dublin Coffman High School since 2013. With an undergraduate degree in education and licensure in the content area of science, he has taught physics, AP Physics 1, and chemistry. He has also served as a junior varsity golf coach and student council advisor. Wysong earned his master’s degree from Miami University (Ohio) in the area of professional administration, through which he earned his administrative licensure. Wysong replaces and will work alongside Ann Boerger who has moved into the principal’s role in the district for the junior high and high school.

The district also hired Austin Manson as a science teacher. Manson is a graduate of Ohio University and holds a bachelor’s degree in education. He taught last year at Pathways School for Success. This year, he will be teaching science at Madison-Plains High School.
