Dear Eagle Nation,
Welcome to the 2026 – ’27 school year! As we return to school and continue with the journey of learning and growing, I am again excited at the possibilities that are before us! Each year brings with it the joy of beginning again and the hope of a brighter, better tomorrow. Accomplishments in academics, arts, athletics, and service are sure to abound, and I look forward to celebrating those with our students and staff.
My vision for our District is that we would be a model of excellence in rural education. Toward that goal, as we have prepared for the year ahead, we, as a staff, have started a conversation about what it means to be excellent -- what does it look like? Themes such as building positive, appropriate, and professional relationships; using data to help drive instructional decisions; and working at communication are all items that were mentioned. Though our conversation around this idea is not yet complete and will continue, it is something we are actively thinking about so that we can lift the Madison-Plains Local School District to new heights.
I look forward to going on this journey with our staff, our students, and our community.
