Beginning January 01, 2019

Ohio Department of Taxation Employer Withholding Tax Filing Guidelines

Notice – As passed by a majority affirmative vote of all residents during the May 8, 2018 election, an income tax of 1.25% on the earned income of individuals residing in the school district shall be imposed by the Madison-Plains Local School District, for 5 years, beginning January 1, 2019, for the purpose of current expenses.

Employers (regardless of location) are required to withhold and remit this tax for Madison-Plains Local School District residents only.  It is recommended that you confirm this new withholding is occurring with your employer.

You can confirm your residence within Madison-Plains Local School District after 1/1/2019 via the online Ohio Department of Taxation resource “The Finder”.  Simply enter your address after 1/1/2019 and click “Lookup”.  

The Madison-Plains Local School District “School District Number” is 4904.

Early Voting Starts Tuesday, October 5

Monday, October 4 marks the deadline to register as a voter in order to cast a ballot in the November 2 general election, for which absentee voting by mail and in person begins Tuesday, October 5.

County boards of elections are set to be open until 9 p.m. Monday to accept registrations.

Early, in-person voting at county boards of elections will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for three weeks, then available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. the week of Monday, October 25; from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 30; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 31; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, November 1.

Polling sites will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2.

For absentee voting by mail, applications must be received by the county board of elections by noon on Saturday, October 30, and ballots must be postmarked by Monday, November 1 and received by Friday, November 5 to be counted. Absentee ballots delivered directly to boards of elections by voters must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
