Senior Meeting

Senior Meeting


RESCHEDULED: The meeting scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 25.

Attention Madison-Plains Class of 2022:

There will be an important meeting on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, beginning at 7:45am in the high school auditorium. It should last until around 8:30am. This meeting will discuss all important calendar events, graduation and graduation practice details.  There will also be important scholarship information and packets handed out from the MP Scholarship Foundation.

Substitute Teachers Needed

Substitute Teachers Needed


Dear Madison-Plains Local School District Parents and Guardians,

Good evening!  

As you know, we have a need for substitute teachers in our school district.  To help with this need, if you are interested in substitute teaching, I would ask that you please send me an e-mail indicating that you would be willing to do that.  

Earlier this week, I asked the Board of Education to approve a resolution to increase substitute teacher pay to $130 per day.  I also asked the Board to approve a resolution that would allow us take advantage of some temporary flexibility in substitute teacher requirements that state of Ohio has approved for the remainder of this school year.  I am pleased to share that the Board approved both recommendations.

As you know, the pandemic numbers are on the rise again, and the effects of this are being felt in many places, including schools.  Within the last week several schools in our county have announced various types of closures.

MPLSD earned an “A” for student progress – an accomplishment the District has been working hard towards.

Gifted Achievement

Top 100
MPLSD students who are gifted achieved among the highest achievement scores in the state in the spring of 2019, ranking in the top 100 districts and earning a 117.6 performance index score out of 120 possible points.  They also had the highest achievement in Madison County.
