Dear MPLSD Parents and Guardians,

 

The purpose of this communication is to share two pieces of information with you.

 

First, a quick, friendly reminder that this Wednesday, February 28, 2024, MPLSD will be on a two-hour delayed start so that our staff can engage in professional development.

 

Second, as you likely know, there will be a full solar eclipse on the afternoon of Monday, April 08, 2024.  Due to this event, it is expected there will be a significant increase in the volume of traffic on county roads on this date, which presents safety concerns.  As such, there will not be school on Monday, April 08, 2024, and the District will be closed for the day.
