Bring Your Own Technology -- BYOT

The Bring Your Own Technology program at Madison-Plains High School continues to allow students to bring their own devices to use for school work. Students will be encouraged to bring approved devices to school to contribute to their work while additional devices will be available for check out from the school's library.

BYOT programs are proving to be extremely beneficial to academic performance and for helping to prepare students with the appropriate skill sets needed for continued study beyond high school and today's workforce. As students integrate these resources into their learning, they will be able to more efficiently collaborate and interact with their teachers and each other to research information, solve complex problems, create original products, and publish their work. We believe this will increase learning outcomes and develop the skills that are essential for success in today’s colleges and businesses.

The checkout program will function similarly to a traditional library system with resources shared among the students.

Madison-Plains Local Schools has become a leader in technology innovation over the past decade. Whether it’s our 1:1 Program, Cisco Networking Academy, or cutting-edge programming, we have been able to provide our students with opportunities that are typically reserved for larger non-rural school districts. We believe the combination of a small rural, family environment with these progressive programs sets our District apart from others.

We are continually looking for ways to expand learning opportunities while being fiscally responsible. Our BYOT program is just one of the many programs we have implemented to accomplish these goals.
