Dear Madison-Plains Local School District Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
The purpose of this communication is to provide an update with regard to last week’s events and some information for student drug testing.
With regard to the matter that occurred last week on bus #10 on Thursday afternoon, we are continuing our investigation, and we will be remaining vigilant. If anyone has any information they believe would be helpful, they are encouraged to reach out to me, one of our building-level administrators, our school resource officer, or the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Again, we will be remaining vigilant.
On a different note, for students at the 7-12 building, student drug testing is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 05, 2023. This is for any student at the 7-12 building who wants to participate in extracurricular activities including school dances, school field trips, or driving to school. This will be the last screening before the green and gold field trip and the homecoming dance. The cost is $18, and families may opt to have this added to their child’s school fees or may pay by check made out to Madison-Plains High School.
