Dear MPLSD Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

The purpose of this communication is to make you aware that we received information indicating a person was coming to our campus with a weapon. The entire campus sheltered in place. Multiple law enforcement officers responded to the situation and searched all parking lots and vehicles. Law enforcement found no evidence that the person was on site. The shelter-in-place has been lifted and all students and staff are safe. However, law enforcement officers remain on site and continue investigating this situation.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.  

If any other significant information becomes available, we will work to communicate it as we are able.
